With original planned design features similar to the Nelson's, the N3 class ships would have been considerably larger in all aspects, with thicker armour and nine 18 inch guns, all mounted forward in three triple turrets. They would have topped 50,000 tons displacement and been amongst the most powerful warships afloat, representing the height of the dreadnought concept within the Royal Navy. Although names were never officially given, they have since been linked to the four patron saints of the UK.
Gotta be Hull 6, cause She is bigger than the Iowas on tonnage. To make her more balanced we can make her year 1942 or 1943 to show a theoretical mid war refit, instead of 1939.

N3 as well, as that is 18 inch guns and Hull 6 for the UK. Would love it immediately, and would still be a viable piece mid war and somewhat late war due to those large guns. It's only weakness late war would be its basic standard AA value, which would probably be a 7...

Yeah and while powerful it'll really do nothing the other RN battleship cant do in the very early years thst nelson or rodney cant do for a significantly lower price. Self limiting, but not prevented from beimg used artificially
Very good info here overall in N3. Was very interested in the guns as they state the AP of the 18 inch guns was 36 inches, which was better than Yamato, though this was a paper test..
