8 points is good (A little low, but in the 9+ point range it won't affect 100 point battles that much, nor 200 point, as far as limitation of the quantity goes)--and either VA9 or VA 8 is fine by me--VA9 is more fitting for a late-war fighter.
At 8 points it would be the cheapest Advanced Fighter 2 in existence? We could also drop Excellent Endurance, to make it a truer 8-cost.

Increasing the A/V/H to 7/9/1 and keeping the existing specials is easily 9 points, not having escort I think is the only thing keeping it out of the 10+ point range at this point. The Expert Strafer isn't as threatening since it only has a 3MG attack. And the Excellent endurance is a OPG... so I think 9 points for a 7/9/1 Fighter with Advanced Fighter and a base 8 AA is fair at 9 points.
