Unfortunately my Spitfire Mk Vc is stalled due to a lack of decals so it's on to the next couple. This one is fairly straight forward; Gustav Rodel's Bf109E-4.
With the blue already applied, it's masked up ready for the RLM 79 sand yellow
A stark contrast between the two colours but it's starting to look good. Have just realised that I need to add a tropical filter like I did for this other Bf109E repaint: forumini.boards.net/thread/199/me109e-repaint
This one is finished as well although the markings weren't quite big enough to match the reference diagram I was working off. That's what you get from 1/144 scale decals on a 1/100 scale model. Oh well..... Still happy with the overall look and the weathering and staining.

Thanks Bill, but every time I look at Rodel's Stab markings I just cringe. Horribly under-scale. I will endeavour to find some better markings and replace them when I can.
Here is a card to go with your repaint. You'll find it has the exact same stats and SAs of the original BF 109E Ace card. Creating the card was a successful mission in redundancy.
It doesn't matter how pedestrian or redundant it may seem Toyama, every single card you produce is excellent. This one is no exception. Your efforts are always appreciated. Thank you.
