I was going to post a picture on my War at Sea page and noticed on the back of the USS Johnston Forumini Card. The date for the Battle of Samar reads Octocer 23 and not 25.

Oops. The entire Battle of Leyte Gulf occurred from October 23 to 26th. We must have picked up the starting date for that.
I will never play that card again!

Caught something a couple of weeks ago about HMS Urge(national newspaper)being found/videoed. It disappeared outbound from Malta to Alex. Sunk by a mine near the former whilst surface running at night. Experienced crew and very active. Sunk Bande Nere not long before plus BB hits, merchant sinkings etc. Was carrying a few passengers too. Just unlucky and one of many. Long may the sacrifices and mysteries be told.

I know they said they believe that this is the Johnston, but there is a chance it could be the Hoel too. Both were Fletchers, and lost in the same battle...
