1. When you have opposing ships in the same sector (local to one another), you can not place any aircraft in that sector during the Air Mission Phase, right?
2. What are the rules governing Subs and MTB's of opposing forces in the same sector?
Is there an air stacking limit? I know I have seen three bombers on a target in play at Origins 2019. But if you have say 2 CVs with a load out of 4 + 3 shore planes (fighter or patrol bombers I don't think matter here) that are rearmed + specials (like Chitose float planes etc.) could you dispatch all to one combat zone? So you would have potentially ~ 15-20 aircraft in a sector (resolving each anti-air first before attacks)? I would assume with this mass attack "someone gets through"!
I tried limiting it a bit with my daughter to 3 planes a piece (any combination of fighter/bomber). Keeping in mind we sometimes bump the card points to say 270-300 for a grand battle (allowing for the possibility of 5 or more planes per side) - this is difficult in a 100 or 150 pt game
Generally speaking (some special rules and SAs can override), in one sector each side can have
2 ships 1 sub 4 aircraft 1 installation
That applies up to 500 pt builds. With 500 pt builds and greater the stacking limit increases to 3 ships and 5 aircraft. Subs and Installations stay at one.
See pages 22 and 40 in the Rulebook.

There is nothing in the rulebook about installations being 1 stacking. Has there been some ruling? I ask because I am doing a Wake Island 41' scenario and Wake needs an airstrip and coastal guns (Forward Airstrip and Advanced Naval Base should cover those).
