I have a question about the IJN Type 13 Subchaser; mainly about the SA: Sub Hunter - At the end of the second player's Sea Movement step, you may place this unit in an adjacent sector that contains an enemy submarine.
My question is.... It sounds like this Type 13 DD can teleport clear across the map to an adjacent sector that contains an enemy submarine. Just how far can this unit be moved? One sector or across the map or anywhere in between? No one in our group has yet used this unit as of yet and I can see the utility of the unit when it comes to escorting convoys but if I pick up the DD and move it adjacent to an enemy submarine I know many will not react well.
What does everyone else say about this SA? Is there a FAQ?
Their ship their coffin The cruel dark sea their grave.
So my understanding of this is that "adjacent sector" is relative to the Type 13. So if any of the six sectors adjacent to the Type 13 contain an enemy submarine then you can move the Type 13 into that sector.

that makes since
Their ship their coffin The cruel dark sea their grave.
We've always held that "adjacent sector" would be a sector adjacent to the subhunter unit itself. We don't see subchaser units often in play but plenty of destroyer action with that SA. It would be the same.
