Lee Marvin was wounded in the behind on Saipan. James Stewart flew bombing missions over Europe during WW2. He remained in the Air Force, retiring as a Brigadier General. Charles Durning landed on Omaha Beach.
Heard that about the last Doolittle Raider. May they all Rest in Peace. May they also have one hell of a reunion in heaven! God Bless Them ALL! They are all Heroes! Also, this on FOX Business, Stuart Varney. Audrey Hepburn aided the Dutch Resistance during WW2. She helped to get downed flyers to be returned to England. Her uncle was murdered by the Nazis for being involved with the Dutch Resistance, which drove her to participate in the anti Nazi movement. Good for her!
@waratsea, Would that show by chance be Gold Rush...when Parker went up in the Commemorative Air Force Avenger in Colorado? I saw that episode as well...pretty good show overall too.

Yes it was; i've followed the show for years; I did double check on line.
This week they have been in Rabaul searching some wrecks.
They found another Avenger reportedly the 3 man crew was lost.
@waratsea, I have also followed the show for years...back to when Parker first worked for his Grandfather at the Big Nugget Mine. Then there was the Hoffmans... It is a pretty good show. Tough work but there is Gold in them thar hills...in the Yukon anyways.
