Just so everybody knows, I have copies of the original Base Set, 39/45 & Expanded Rules. Also Rules Modifications/Clarifications dated 9/10/2010. I believe this was the last "Official" WotC edition. It covers a lot, stacking limit of 3 was in this version & lots of errata clarifications, so I think we should have everything covered.
I also have the North Africa mapset for desert terrain effects/movement/etc. I saw a desert map in the other thread so it appears we got that covered as well.
These are the units I have photoshopped if you want more than just text to represent units. We can do the text thing also if you want more more choices in your builds.
GE Veteran Panzer III M Panzer II C Kfz 251 Kfz 231 DAK MG34 Para
UK Matilda Stuart Humber Universal Carrier BEF Sten Bren Hero Vickers MG 3" Mortar Spotter
Let us use this map because for now, it will be easier while I try to remember how to use photoshop again (been 5 or 6 years)
I have a terrain question. Would the hills be considered to be "Barren Terrain" or just as regular hills? I ask because as Barren Terrain, natural 6's with Shrapnel are double effect....which could be very deadly.
I just double checked the Barren Terrain & it is for ANY natural 6's doing double, not just shrapnel. Also, are the tan color hexes Sand? If so, movement is double for wheeled vehicles with high gear. Brush, cover for soldiers & vehicles, blocks line of sight. Double cost for wheeled vehicles with high gear. I think that covers the terrain effects.....for now at least.....
Bluffs-Vehicles can't enter or exit through a cliff hexside. Soldiers must roll 4+ to enter or exit through a cliff hexside. Vehicles have cover on a roll of 5+, soldiers on a 4+. It does not specify whether to entire hex is cover or just through a cliff hexside. I would think that rhrough the open terrain side(s) that there would be no cover. I reckon this might be a judgement call. Line of Sight- If LOS passes THROUGH a Bluffs hex, not into or out of, and it crosses a cliff hexside the LOS is blocked. Cover- Vehicles on a roll of 5+, Soldiers on a roll of 4+. I think that covers the terrain on the provided map......so far......
Sand-On the North Africa maps, sand is in patches, from 1 to 4 hexes in size. Is there a way to duplicate this on your maps Ober? No LOS blockage or cover, just the double movement for wheeled vehicles with high gear.

With the exception of a few maps I had on Dropbox everything was lost when the hard drive melted down. I no longer have the software that created the maps so nothing can be changed or edited.

MN, I'm pretty flexible. Do we just want to stick to traditional national opponents? Maybe Germany vs Russia or US vs Germany? I'm not picky about which army I play.

Yeah, when the computer here crapped out I lost a lot of good stuff as well. I hate when that happens. Ah technology, a two edged sword.....love it & hate it sometimes.

That’s fine, probably how the game was designed to be played. Should we roll some dice to randomize
