HMS Vindictive Ship – Auxiliary – 1940 Speed – 2 Guns – 4/3/2 AA – 5 ASW – 2 Armor – 3/8/3 Points – ? Slow 1: At the beginning of your Sea Movement phase, roll a die. On a 1 or less, this unit has -1 speed this turn. Limited ASW Threat: This unit doesn't penalize Torpedo attacks of enemy Submarines in adjacent sectors. Repair Ship: At the beginning of your Sea Movement step, you can attempt to repair a local friendly Ship. If you do, neither this unit nor that Ship can move or use Gunnery attacks this turn. At the end of the turn, roll a die. On a 2 or higher, remove 1 point of hull damage from that Ship.

Laying her next to Nordmark, about 5 points. Weaker guns than Nordmark... better Armor and Vital... 1 less hull. Same AA. Faster (Slow-1 vs Slow-2). Has ASW albeit limited.

She was converted from a late WW1 cruiser (HMS Cavendish), and from what I can see she retained her armour of 1.5"-3" belt and 1"-1.5" deck.
Yup, Cavendish was the fifth of the Hawkins class that was completed as a carrier, renamed, converted back to a cruiser then a training ship, then a repair ship then a depot ship.
