Got 2 new books one called Dreams of Joy, about a 19 year old girl living in LA that runs off to Communist China in the late 1950s to find her biological father and throws her self to the country's New Society. And her mother tries to find her in the big cities to rural village and confronts old demons of her past.
Second book is Quotations from Mao Zedong and i have been putting little Post-It notes of quotes I find particularly importance or interest.
Don't worry, I have haven't become a communist. My mom and my grandma (mom's side) grew up under Mao and, it was tough times for them so i want to get know what it was like in that time. Another thing is that some of my friend's on twitter follow or retweet a lot of communist people online. So I want to prod and pick at their minds.
