While I am not interested in this it is a pretty decent idea to try and push the axis and allies brand in front of more mainstream gamers who would never play a war or history game or those on the fence as a means to pull them over to the more classic versions if they like zombies.
Reading the article from the New president at Hasbro I think we will see more of this as opposed to new traditional war games from them (more reprinting or updating classics like anniversary).
If they go the fantastical route a paranormal Indians Jones almost game like a talisman or elritch/arkham horror might interest the anti war game crowd where you search for mystical artifacts, energy sources(vril), technological wonders (German hornet), encounter foo fighters,cults , arctic bases etc etc might interest people (or not ).
